Hoodies nesting at Inyadda!

The pair of hooded plovers at south Inyadda have three eggs, expected to hatch in late November. Thank you to everyone for giving these little guys the best possible choice (inc. avoiding fenced off areas, keeping dogs leashed).

A reminder too of the difference between the critically endangered hooded plover, a very small bird with a black head and white strip at the neck (see picture below, with chick) and the much more common, equally small red capped plover (second image below). Both are lovely, but the hoodies need as much help as we can give them.
